Virtual Road Trip: Monterey Bay Area and Big Sur
My free-range painting tour of California's Central Coast begins north of Santa Cruz and heads south, with stops at some of the most inspiring painting locations in Capitola, Monterey, Pacific Grove, Carmel, and Big Sur. Some of these spots are best-kept secrets, others, iconic views. This Highway One road trip would take about three hours if you made all these stops back-to-back.

This lovely garden path gives you a glimpse into Capitola's "riverside" cottages. To find it, look for the trail just south of this famous bridge. |
